I tried to load the most recent touch panel drivers from Lenovo web site, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70656 also the one from Wacom (Wacom Penabled Driver Driver 5.05-7), neither of them worked. Just had a X61t also in Natty (2.6.38 ) that is apparently on ttyS4 too. Because it was insisting to load the multitouch driver to my hardware, whereas my tablet screen was penable, not finger touch based.

Go back to the Device Manager window, right-click on "touch panel driver" again and enable. I ended up convincing Lenovo (which wasn't easy) that there had to be something wrong hardware-wise with that x200. You can call the script with "./tablet.sh flip" or "./tablet.sh invert". The X200T wacom tablet runs on serial drivers and for Win 7 Wacom/Lenovo may not be properly supporting serial pens any more via their drivers.

Then, look in your Device Manager to see if you have an unknown device.

After the first day I used it, touch panel became unresponsive, then I was able to observe the driver conflict in the device manager. What could be wrong? I feel that t he hardware may be disconnected internally and I am not sure of a way to find out without ripping it apart. So it looks like we can assume xf86-input-wacom is correct with ttyS4 and what we need to figure out is why it isn't handling it correctly.
